This 300-bed camp is located in the Barton Flats area of the San Bernardino National Forest, only 1:40 minutes from Los Angeles. To put this in perspective, Alpine Meadows is within a 3 hour drive from 24 million people. At 7,000 foot elevation, campers can enjoy sledding in winter, and it’s only 45 minutes to the ski lifts at Big Bear Lake. This year- round camp operates under a forest service permit and is accredited by the American Camp Association. The dining hall capacity is 300 people and can hold the entire camp population during inclement weather. The large commercial kitchen comes fully equipped and has 5 walk-in refrigerators or freezers. This beautiful, secluded site has a security gate and closed circuit TV along the entry road with easy bus access and plenty of parking. The internet is accessed via Starlink. Currently used as a summer camp, Alpine Meadows previously was used for off-season group rentals, including outdoor education programs.
Facilities include an Olympic size swimming pool, soccer and softball fields, basketball and sand volleyball courts, horse shoes, low and high ropes course, climbing tower, archery range, and nearby Jenks Lake. The lake offers a beautiful sand beach, canoeing, kayaking, and a picnic area.
